Samsung Galaxy S5 rumors are at its apex right now, as the flagship smartphone for Samsung will be outed on or after April 10.

But analysts can’t seem to get over how Samsung have decided to simplify their flagship phone this time around. The relative lack of features are touted by most tech watchers as a sign that Samsung is growing in the mobile space.

One of the biggest criticisms about Samsung smartphones in the past was that it was seemingly smooth like the iPhone, where each function flowed nicely into the other. Instead, Samsung often cramped its phones with functions that might hardly be useful.

Of course, while the debate of useful apps depends on individual needs, the fingerprint scanner, the aquaproof and the dust proof features are from necessities for most users and some would even say they are oddities that should left off the phone.

One of the complaints about the S4 was the gimmicks galore that were not useful to customers. Some of these features on the S4 included such as automatic scroll when turning the phone. Sometimes, customers complained about the gimmicks that the were either extraneous or didn’t work.

“Samsung also simplified the phone's interface. Like other Android phones, the Galaxy S5 is still more complex to use than Apple's iPhone, but the flip side is you get many more ways to customize it, including the ability to unlock a phone by drawing a pattern on the screen rather than using a passcode. In the S5, Samsung plays down or removes many of the S4's less useful features, while rearranging the settings and layouts to make things easier to find,” Gadgets.NDTV reports.

A couple of carriers in Korea have released the S5 phone, but Samsung’s Galaxy S5 will be supplying its flagship phone through U.S. carriers, for about $200 on Verizon and $600 SIM Free.
