The father of Michigan's Houten sextuplets has passed away.

NY Daily News reports that the 39-year-old father of Michigan's first surviving set of sextuplets suffered a major heart attack and died after setting up a trampoline for his children.

It has been reported that Ben Van Houten died Wednesday night in the Holland area in western Michigan.

Father-in-law Calvin Reimink told The Grand Rapids Press, "Just to know Ben for even one day would be a blessing."

In 2004, his wife, Amy, gave birth to six children over three days at a Grand Rapids hospital.

The children are now 10 years old and are joined by a sister, who is 7.

It has been reported that Van Houten was playing with the kids outside when the heart attack occurred.

His father-in-law stated, "He was always spending time with the kids."

The Houten sextuplets were very small at birth; the largest was only 2 pounds, 1 ounce. Two have cerebral palsy.

As the tragic news of the Houtens surfaced, there was an update on the lives of the Walton sextuplets.

The Mirror reports that the six daughters of father Graham Walton are now 30 and three of them are already engaged.

Graham Walton is the father to the world's only all-female sextuplets and has been the sole man in a house full of women after his wife Jan gave birth to his six daughters.

The girls reportedly grew up in Liverpool with more attention than they had wanted. At 18, they decided to live more private lives, away from the spotlight.

They will be retuning to the public eye for a new ITV documentary, "The Waltons Sextuplets at 30."
