iPhone 6 release date 2014 plans are off to a good start with a surprise turn of events. As of April 18, RadioShack will offer a discounted price for the Apple’s iPhone 5s for $99. The catch 22 is the sign up contract for two-years - that holds true for all three carriers AT&T, Verizon, or Sprint. The deal comes in anticipation of the iphone 6 release date 2014.

RadioShack, a top electronic retailer in the U.S., practically giving away the iPhone 5s, which is Apple's flagship phone at the moment. Though rumors of the iPhone 6 release date 2014 are flooding the net, the iPhone 5s for a $100 off the regular price tag $199 for the 16GB handset is a great bargain.

And Apple watchers know that the Cupertino firm is not fond of lowering its prices. In fact the new contract deal not only takes into account the iPhone 5s release date in September 2013, it may also mean a pricing strategy to bump up the price for the iPhone 6,

According to AppAdvice, "it’s one of the best iPhone 5s savings we’ve seen appear. Best of all, however, there’s no end date in sight for the price change, meaning prospective iPhone 5s owners don’t necessarily need to rush to their local RadioShack store in order to take advantage of the offer."

"This is indeed great news for would-be iPhone owners in the United States, though it’s not going to help sales of Apple’s $99 iPhone 5c handset. As a reminder, the less expensive model has suffered poor sales in markets around the world; a lower priced 8GB variant launched in a handful of countries recently, but so far this model hasn’t reached the United States. "

iPhone 5s buyers can pick up the 16GB model for $99 from today, April 18. The deal will apply to the iPhone 5s on AT&T, Sprint and Verizon.
