Marvel fans, looks like we have some insights on the Fantastic Four reboot as the film's writer Simon Kinberg claims that it is a blend between Sam Raimi's Spider-Man and Chronicles and he further added that they will have a different origin story than the previous Fantastic Four movies.
It was in Wondercon 2014 that "Sherlock Holmes" screenwriter Simon Kinsberg promoted the imment release of X-Men: Days of Future Past and also discussed the Fantastic Four reboots plot along with director Josh Trank. They aimed that the Fantastic Four reboot will be a "Coming of Age" story that incorporates elements from Sam Raimi's first Spider-Man and Tranks 2013 sci-fi hit Chronicle.
Josh Trank further stated that he wanted to approach the film in a more "grounded, gritty and realistic" way that will separate it from the past Fantastic Four movies.
According to reports from Den of Geek, Kinsberg stated that the FF are not as grown-up as they think they are and further explained by saying.
"We're definitely telling a younger story that the original films did. It depends on what books you look at. There are some, like the Ultimate books, that tell this story. So it is an origin story of the Fantastic Four, and it does follow them before they really know what a superhero is. They're older than high school, but they're not quite grown into the world. If anything, this is a coming of age story."
Kinsberg aslo hinted another detail pertaining on the origin story of their power.
"There is archetypal imagery of how they get their powers, for sure, and it does involve some sort of scientific travel."
Perhaps his basing this one on th Fantastic Four of the Ultimate Marvel universe were in they have gain their powers to the N -Zone (Negative Zone in the mainstream universe)
Fantastice Four reboot begins filming in Louisiana in two weeks and there are no further details are given regarding what they have said during Wondercon.
