Kids, looks like CBS has found their narrator in How I Met Your Dad, her name is Meg Ryan and will she be like Ted Mosby in How I Met Your Mother? Guess we'll have to find out, so here's the latest How I Met Your Dad news!
With HIMYM gone, CBS is ready to move on from gang from MacLaren's, and get into the spin-off of the show, How I Met Your Dad. It was confirmed by reports from theWrap, that "Sleepless in Seattle" star Meg Ryan will act as the narrator of the show, and the older version of mother in the series, Sally as Greta Gerwig portrays her younger self.
Meg Ryan's role as the narrator/future Sally will be similar on how Josh Radnor's character Ted Mosby will be in HIMYD. She will tell stories to her children on how she met their Dad, and the misadventures that she gotten herself into. With all that explained, there is one tiny detail we just have to know about, will Sally be just like Ted, a hopeless romantic mess or will she be a totally different person, like let's just say Barney or Robin for instance?
A brief synopsis of the character Sally has been hinted by the show's creators and this is what the audience will expect from her.
"The pilot stars Greta Gerwig as Sally, a female Peter Pan who has never grown up and has no idea of where she's going in life. She has just figured out that she has nothing in common with her husband of less than a year. A breakup is inevitable, but Sally will find a solid circle of support in her friends and family, who are often too willing to give 'good' advice that can backfire badly. Meanwhile, Sally must filter out the input and decide what's best for her."
So how will Meg Ryan pull-off the narrator part in HIMYD? Will just to find more updates on the spin-off very soon.
