X-Men: Days of Future Past Wolverine trailer has been released as director Bryan Singer talks about Scarlet Witch "not" appearing in the movie. Does this mean that Quicksilver's sister is cut out from Days of Future Past? We'll find out more from the X-Men director himself.
Wolverine's trailer shows the feral mutant going into to the past as he tries to find the younger Charles Xavier, and convince him to reunite the X-Men to stop the creation of the Sentinels. The video also features some classic Wolverine action, and attitude.
But, the bigger story here is that X-Men director Bryan Singer not letting Scarlet Witch in the X-Men: Days of Future Past, so what's that all about? It was revealed a few days ago that Bryan Singer won't be doing any press for the movie due to allegations of sexual abuse however; Singer recently spoke with Empire Magazine about Scarlet Witch not appearing in the movie.
A photo of Quicksilver sitting with a little girl has spread throughout the internet, and some may say that the little girl is actually Wanda Maximoff a.k.a. the Scarlet Witch. Here is the photo below.
Bryan Singer explained that the girl is not Scarlet Witch at all, but rather Quicksilver's little sister and further said that.
"Is that the Scarlet Witch? No, that's his little sister. I even had a line which I cut, where Quicksilver's mother says to the little girl, 'Go up and bug your sister,' and the little girl says, 'She bugs me!' You never see the older sister, but it was to imply that there is an older sister for comic book fans. I ended up cutting it.
"Even though our Quicksilver is not a main character like in The Avengers, it's a character there's a lot of thought and concern about and it's a character I'd like to explore further in the sequel."
So if this is not Wanda, then who is she? Could she be Lorna Dane a.k.a. Polaris, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch younger haft-sister, or an entirely different person exclusive to the film? There is also a TV Spot for the movie that features Quicksilver's younger sister uploaded by YouTube user Josh Wilding in the Flickering Myth website.
So what do you of Bryan Singer's explanation? You'd be the judge.
