Hopefully Donald Sterling has learned what to say and what not to say in front of his girlfriend.
The NBA owner has been banned for life from any NBA games and has been fined $2.5 million, the maximum amount allowed under the NBA constitution, after the racist comments Sterling made were made public, according to Variety.
The decision has come three days after TMZ posted an audio featuring racist comments, which Donald Sterling said to his girlfriend.
After girlfriend V. Stiviano posted a picture of herself with Magic Johnson on Instagram, Sterling reportedly told her not to "publicly associate with African Americans."
NBA commissioner Adam Silver said at a press conference today, "The views expressed by Mr. Sterling are deeply offensive and harmful. That they came from an NBA owner only heightens the damage and my personal outrage."
Silver added, "Sentiments of this kind are contrary to the principles of inclusion and respect that form the basis our diverse, multicultural and multiethnic league."
CNN reports that the NBA commissioner has stated that he would do "everything in my power" to get the NBA Board of Governors to "force a sale" of the Clippers.
Donald Sterling will be prohibited from attending games or practices, appearing inside any Clippers' facility, taking part in business or personnel decisions, or having a role in league activities.
Donald Trump expressed his thoughts on the NBA owner's "despicable" comments.
Trump made an appearance on Fox & Friends and stated that V. Stiviano is the "girlfriend from hell."
The billionaire property mogul continued to state that Sterling "got set up by a very, very bad girlfriend, let's face it."
V. Stiviano, who the Daily Mail has reported is black and Mexican, has been shying away from the public eye since the scandal broke.
The Los Angeles Times reports that Stiviano was spotted on Sunday morning hiding behind the door of her $1.8 million Spanish-style duplex near the Beverly Center.
She told the reporter that she was on her way to church.
There are reports that Stiviano may actually be Sterling's mistress.
Sterling's girlfriend was reportedly sued last month by Donald's wife, Rochelle, who demands the return of the duplex, Ferrari, two Bentleys and a Range Rover her husband bought for Stiviano.
Rochelle Sterling claimed in the lawsuit that the 31-year-old Stiviano is a "seductress who targets wealthy older men" like the 80-year-old Donald Sterling.
The former NBA owner reportedly gave his girlfriend $240,000 for living expenses, according to Rochelle Sterling's lawsuit.
