Royce Gracie, Eddie Bravo Feud Takes Another High: Hall Of Famer Dislikes Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Practioner Due To Drug Use?

Royce Gracie and Eddie Bravo's feud was reported to have taken place immediately after his much-anticipated rematch against jiu-jitsu legend Royler Gracie at Metamoris 3. The UFC Hall-of-Famer now claims he dislikes Bravo due to his alleged drug use.

While the fight was given a draw verdict, the vast majority of hardcore jiu-jitsu fans believed that Eddie Bravo dominated the 48-year old Gracie using his own 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu system.

But evidently, Royce Gracie went to his brother's rescue, saying that the reason why Eddie Bravo was throwing up right after his match was because Royler outclassed him.

The Royce Gracie, Eddie Bravo feud escalated further after Royce alleged that Eddie was talking trash about the Gracie family, which Bravo vehemently denied.

He also added that "it would be stupid to be in the jiu-jitsu business and talk smack about the Gracies at the same time."

But after weeks of silence about the Royce Gracie, Eddie Bravo feud, Royce finally spoke up about what he claimed to be the real reason behind the feud. It had nothing to do with Eddie's jiu-jitsu style, or about the trash talking. It was about Bravo's marijuana use.

"My issue with him is simple. I don't like him because he endorses (drugs)," Royce said in an interview with Australia's Submission Radio. "It's nothing to do with (which) jiu-jitsu he uses, gi (or) no gi, it's because of what he endorses. We teach kids. His message out there is 'it's ok for you to do drugs'."

He added, "Once the guy endorses pot and endorses drinking, to me that's wrong because I have kids too. I don't want my kids involved with pot and I don't want my kids drinking and I did what every man should do if you have a problem, talk face to face with the person."

Eddie Bravo has been a long-time advocate of marijuana use, and he has been vocal about it.

But while Royce Garcie has declared his opposition against drugs, he himself tested positive for steroids back in 2007.
