The iHeartRadio Music Awards of 2014 took place on May 1 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, according to HollywoodLife.
Unfortunately, the 2014 iHeartRadio Music Awards already has a trial date before producers can plan for 2015.
A trial date for April 6, 2015 has already been set for the multi-claim trademark infringement and unfair competition complaint against Clear Channel and Premiere Radio Networks, according to Deadline.com.
Radio Dogs reportedly claim that iHeartRadio Music Awards, is way too close to their Radio Music Awards brand.
Radio Dogs demands an injuction against the show, its online presence shut down, materials destroyed and unspecified monetary damages "including all of Defendants' profits of any kind resulting from the actions complained of herin."
Despite the lawsuit, viewers of the new show, which was executive produced by Ryan Seacrest, will agree that it was pretty entertaining.
Pharrell performed a mash-up of his recent hits "Happy" and "Come Get It Bae," while Beyonce, Usher and Oprah praised his musical genius.
Another highlight of the 2014 iHeartRadio Music Awards was Billy Ray Cyrus accepting his daughter's award for Best Lyrics.
Miley Cryus, who is currently recovering from an allergic reaction to antibiotics, won the award for "Wrecking Ball."
"I can't begin to tell you how much your thoughts, your love, and your support for my family and Miley mean to all of us. Thank you, and God bless each and every one of you," said the country singer.
Rihanna won four awards during the course of the night. We must note that her acceptance speech for Best Fan Army may have expanded her already solid fan base.
The "Diamonds" singer stated, "This award is for the fans, as they said. It's not easy, what we do. It's very difficult at times."
The singer added, "It's a lot of pressure to be a lot of things, and I've never felt comfortable being anything other than myself, and I just thank my fans for being supportive, and embracing that, embracing that freedom and that liberation, and we're a family."
The sexy star concluded, "We stick together. I love you guys."
Rihanna took home the Artist of the Year Award, undeniably the biggest award of the night.
