This is huge, ladies and gentlemen, because Unreal Tournament 4 2014 has just been confirmed!
Epic Games has just tweeted that the future of Unreal Tournament will be unveiled this Thursday at 2PM ET. That information comes straight from both Mark Rein and Paul Meegan.
While Rein did not provide any additional information, Paul Meegan - Games, Unreal Engine and Publishing at Epic Games - claimed that both the UE4 Dev Community and Epic Games are involved in this project (which will most probably be powered by Unreal Engine 4).
And just a few moments ago, Mark Rein put doubts to rest when he stated that Unreal Tournament 4 2014 has been confirmed.
While no release date has been announced, it can be expected that the game is going to launch this year and that more information would be given at E3 2014!
Aside from Unreal Tournament 4 2014, Polygon revealed that Epic Games is currently working on an unannounced title that will most probably be powered by Unreal Engine 4. In addition, Polygon shared a concept art from what seems to be a character from that unannounced title.
The concept art was unveiled during the GDC 2014 speech of Epic's lead animator, Jay Hosfelt. As Polygon claimed, 'Hosfelt's panel explained Epic's new game prototyping process, using its new IP as its case study.'
Fans quickly assumed that the character is from the Samaritan tech demo shown years before but Epic Games is quick to note that it is not the case.
According to Epic's Paul Meegan, this unannounced project is entirely new and has nothing to do with the Samaritan demo.
