Ed Boon tweeted a series of cryptic messages on his Twitter that led gamers and fans of his work wondering if NetherRealm studios are working on possible sequels from their previous games Mortal Kombat and Injustice: Gods Among Us. Here the tweets below.

Apparently the tweets were a countdown of some sort according to the video game website VG24/7 in which the first tweet answered 29 and the second tweet answered 28. If the accurate calculations are correct, the tweets will expire just ahead of upcoming E3 2014 event. Could Ed Boon and the rest of NetherRealm studios are up to something to big, and wanted to surprise the fans themselves in the upcoming E3 2014?
