HTC One M7: HTC is in a stage of turmoil with the One M7 smartphone. The Taiwanese-brand phone has yet again recorded another quarterly loss. This has put the upcoming M8 in doubt in terms of sales.
There isn't anything wrong with the HTC One smartphone. In fact, it received many awards ranging from the best performing and even the best looking device out there. It appears that the loss was due to the sub-par marketing and the supply issues.
Unlike those on Samsung and Apple, HTC has got their selves to blame for putting up a small budget for their marketing team.
More importantly, the problem is also with HTC business direction. The company was so obsessed with the high-end smartphone that it failed to capitalize on the mid-tier segment.
The pattern is clear that high-end devices are losing sales. Times are getting harder and not every consumer can afford them. Apple, Samsung, Sony and many other phone manufacturers took no time to offer mid-range smartphone. HTC took too long to realize this and when they did release the HTC One Mini, it is too late.
This year, things look to change as HTC launched the Desire 601 smartphone right before the coming of the HTC One M8.
All in all, HTC will look to correct the mistake of the past and give the market what it needs. The HTC One M8 will be the reason for the company to survive in the hard times ahead.
