"House of Cards" season 3 might just have a prestigious guest courtesy of one of its cast members. As per recent reports, Robin Wright wants President Obama to do a cameo on the series, if she had her wish at least. While there's no date yet for "House of Cards" season 3 on Netflix, the show's anti-hero Frank Underwood will further show his shady side.
Robin Wright, who plays Claire Underwood, told politico.com on Friday night that she wished President Obama will guest star in the series. "I'm going to ask Obama tomorrow night if he'll come and do a guest spot," she said.
She attended the White House Correspondents' Association dinner on Saturday, although it's not clear if she had a chance to talk to the President.
"House of Cards" cast Robin Wright also said that included in her wish list of people who'dappear in the Netflix series was the late Nelson Mandela, former president of South Africa.
The Golden Globe winner also attended the reception hosted by British Embassy and Capitol File magazine at the ambassador's residence along with the other "House of Cards" cast Michael Gill, Michael Kelly, Molly Parker, Sakina Jaffrey and Sebastian Arcelus.
When asked if she has any spoilers for "House of Cards" season 3, she said: "No way! I would be crucified!"
Last week, Kevin Spacey dished out on what viewers can expect from "House of Cards" season 3.
"Pope? The presidency is one thing, but how about Pope Francis?" he told Baltimore Sun.
He said the showrunners, David Fincher and Beau Willimon, are not afraid to see through the end what they started, including seeing how dark Frank Underwood's character will become.
However, he declined to provide more Easter egg when prodded to provide more teasers for "House of Cards" season 3.
"It's probably best I don't add to the conversation," he said. "So, I'm going to bow out and simply say I have every intention of starting shooting when we're supposed to be starting shooting."
