Great news for Pokemon fans everywhere, Nintendo has finally announced the much rumored Gen 3 Pokemon remakes in the form of Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Both Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be coming exclusively to the Nintendo 3DS as well as being playable on the 2DS of course. Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be hitting stores worldwide November 2014.
Fans have talked about the rumors and possibilities of Nintendo possibly remaking the Hoenn region games last year; luckily they turned out to be true.
Nintendo's presser for Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire confirms that the game will be a "new adventure" that takes place in a "spectacular new world." If remakes of Gen 1 and Gen 2 are anything to go by, Nintendo certainly knows how to do their remakes.
Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire were originally released on the Game Boy Advance in November 2002 and March 2003 in Japan and North America respectively. Ruby and Sapphire have collectively sold over 16 million copies, making them the highest selling games on the Game Boy Advance.
The last installment in the Pokemon series was Pokemon X and Y which scored very well with us and other critics, we gave it a 9.2.
