Almost everyone who are hooked on social media sites have been talking about James Franco's Instagram. Why? Well, the actor has been posting racy photos including the latest one that he also took down after a few hours. He posted a nearly-naked selfie shot inside the bathroom and some people thought that was done out of bad taste.
In an interview with the Daily Beast, the "Palto Alto" star revealed why he enjoys posting selfies all the time. James said, "I don't know why it's become such a big deal, but I go through these phases where, honestly, I get addicted." He added, "It's a weird power."
The 36-year old actor, who got into a scandal when he tried to pick-up a 17-year old girl through Instagram, claims that he is not lonely. James explains, "It's just that as a performer, you get used to interactions with attention and interactions with audiences, so it feels like an audience that's both private and large at the same time - intimate and wide-reaching - which is very seductive."
Does that mean that he gets turned on when people watch the racy James Franco Instagram photos? The actor revealed, "I find that I push certain boundaries to see what kind of reaction I'll get and then inevitably I go too far. It's ironic to me because what takes it too far I find, in some realms, not to be racy at all."
The "Spring Breakers" star exclaimed, "Look at any fucking ad! Look at the fucking Sports Illustrated: Swimsuit Issue." James ranted, "Up there on a fucking billboard! Is it because it's in my own bathroom? Don't worry, I'm not going to do any more of those."
Even his brother Dave agrees with him and he shared his thoughts about the James Franco Instagram scandal and naked painting of Seth Rogen on the Conan O'Brien show. The "Neighbors" actor said, "Compared to some of the weird things he's doing, this seems like kind of a refined act."
