"Transformers 4" update reveal that the movie will be welcoming two new cast members. veteran actor John Goodman and Ken Watanabe. Meanwhile, director Michael Bay apparently freaked out after seeing Mark Wahlberg's dramatic weigh loss.

Goodman (Argo, Cars) and Watanabe (Batman Begins, Inception) will be playing the voices of Autobots "Hound" and "Drift", respectively in the upcoming film.

"Extinction" will be the fourth installment of the franchise with Paramount with Mark Wahlberg leading the cast of characters, along with Nicola Peltz, Stanley Tucci, T.J. Miller, Sophia Myles, and Kelsey Grammer, among others.

Mark Wahlberg will be playing the role of Cade Yeager in "Transformers 4." Simultaneous with this project, the 42-year old actor was also preparing for the remake of the 1972 film "The Gambler", wherein he was required to lose 60 pounds. This drastic change left Michael Bay in utter shock.

"I had to come back for some pick-up shots," Wahlberg said in an exclusive interview with the LA Times. "So when Bay saw me, he freaked."

"He was used to seeing me on the healthier side. But here I am skinny with long, stringy hair. He was like, 'You can't look like that!,'" he added.

Mark Wahlberg also related his experience with filming the movie "Ted" to "Transformers 4." "Ted" is about John Bennett, a middle-aged man whose teddy bear comes to life and befriends him. For Wahlberg, playing the role of Bennett has helped him work with imaginary characters.

"Ted was definitely a good warmup. With Ted, it was a more intimate setting," Wahlberg continued. "But this movie is much bigger and more intense. You've got eight Autobots talking to you at the same time."

"There's nothing but a pole or a stick really there. You've got to believe and totally commit. The most difficult part of acting is when you look ridiculous and have to confront the risk of looking foolish. You've got to be on the whole time. You can't phone it in," he added

"Transformers 4" is scheduled for release on June 27, in both IMAX and 3D.
