The reason for the Jay Z Solange fight is still anybody's guess, and speculations are aplenty among social network communities, celebrity columns. Beyonce Knowles is dragged into the scuffle; Solange continues to lash back and wipes sister photos from her Instagram account.

No one truly has an idea of the cause of the brawl, which is an apt description of the incident. Jay Z and the Knowles sisters aren't the only people present at the time, though. Solange attacked Jay Z in a public elevator, and onlookers may have known what actually transpired.

An acquaintance and family friend thinks the cause was Solange's brewing resentment towards Jay-Z, who's yet to hold up to his promise of boosting her career. Jay Z is instrumental to Beyonce's success.

The incident occurred during a Met Gala, at a Standard Hotel elevator in New York City. Closed-circuit camera footage is circulating online, of the alleged argument and assault.

News magazine TMZ posted the leaked video: a woman is seen kicking and flailing her arms at a man which appears to be the rap artist, in what is obviously an assault. Another woman, allegedly Beyonce, looked on at the scuffle the whole time.

One of the elevator's passengers tried to break the commotion, but the woman in question still managed to pull several shots before the elevator doors opened. The rest of the Gala pushed through without incident, and another TMZ video was posted showing Jay Z and Beyonce leaving the event, seemingly calm and collected.

Beyonce and Solange were seen boarding the same vehicle, though, the latter appearing very upset. Jay Z boarded a different vehicle.

The issue is yet to be settled, and Solange's Instagram account was wiped clean of pictures which included her sister (except one). The controversy caught on social media like wildfire, with memes, cartoon, and parodies of the incident posted (chron.com).
