Hong Kong get ready because Transformers: Age of Extinction is coming town while Grammy-award winning rock band "Imagine Dragons" teases a new song for the movie in its latest featurette.
Michael Bay announced that the latest Transformers movie; Transformers: Age of Extinction will have its grand premiere in Hong Kong on June 19. This is a welcome surprise as Hong Kong rarely features on the world stage, but as a substantial part of the film is set in the city, it does make some kind of sense. No word as of yet which cast and crew members will be headed into town for the event, but Mark Wahlberg and Michael Bay would be safe bets, along with Mainland star Li Bing Bing, who also featured prominently in the film.
Imagine Dragons will be in Hong Kong as well as they will perform there new song "Battle Cry" for Age of Extinction. As we all know, Linkin Park has been the premiered band in the first Transformers trilogy, and wrote three songs in the past such as "What I've Done", "New Divide", and "Iridicent". Given the fact that Age of Extinction will open a new chapter for the franchise, Michael Bay felt it's time for a change.
"We're incredibly lucky that Dan, Wayne, Ben and Daniel were available to work with us," Bay has said of working with the Dan Reynolds-fronted band. "I remember being drawn to the emotion of 'Demons' and 'Radioactive' the first time I heard those songs, and I knew I wanted that same energy and heart for this movie. They've created a really epic, otherworldly sound for 'Battle Cry'."
A glimpse of Battle Cry can be heard on the latest featurette of Transformers: Age of Extinction.
