Drew Barrymore’s baby is named Frankie. The “Blended” actress and Adam Sandler stopped by for an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on an episode which will air on Monday May 19.
The 39-year-old actress talked to the talk show host about giving birth to her second daughter just three weeks ago. Barrymore also spoke about how she and husband Will Kopelman came up with the name ‘Frankie.’
“We, um, it was just a name that like came to my husband and I about a few months before she was born and it was just sort of like I think this is it and then we just gave ourselves the room to change our mind but we never did. Not the most interesting story,” Drew said in the clip, which can be watched below.
“It feels like a miracle and it’s also so awesome I have to say,” she added. “I feel like I actually have, first of all, I love this movie and I would never not like show up for it and I feel so good and happy. My kid is healthy. I have nothing to complain about. Like, I’m so blessed.”
Barrymore also recently spoke to Us Weekly about her Blended character Lauren and Sandler's character Jim, both of whom are single parents. Barrymore said, "When these two people quietly talk about how they just want to be good parents. What is going to make their kids happy and how are they going to function in this world. That just gets me. It made me cry in the script, and it makes me cry in the movie."
Barrymore's childhood was highly-publicized and very traumatic, and the star declared her independence from her parents at age 15. It has inspired her to be a better mother.
Drew Barrymore was also recently thrilled to report that her book of photography ‘Find It in Everything’ has hit the New York Times list for "Best Sellers: Advice, How To, and Miscellaneous." The actress facebooked a photo of herself holding the list with the caption, “I can't believe it!! FIND IT IN EVERYTHING is a New York Times Best Seller!! I never would have thought!!! I am humbled and thrilled. Thank you Little, Brown and Company for publishing this book!”
