The new trailer of Deliver Us From Evil features Eric Bana fighting off evil demons and other supernatural beings in this new horror flick directed by Sinister's own Scott Derrickson, and will his newest creation be the scariest movie in 2014?
Deliver Us From Evil is a horror movie based on the memoirs of Ralph Sarchie, a former NYPD cop who devoted his time to fighting the supernatural. In the film, Sarchie is played by Eric Bana and is very dismissive of the idea of demons and ghosts until he faced one of them inside the Bronx Zoo. Enter Mendoza, a renegade priest played by Edgar Ramirez who explains to Sarchie that demons and other supernatural entities exist and their out to get everyone even him.
The trailer showcases a lot of scary and disturbing scenes, such as ghost and demons popping out nowhere, people being possessed, creepy moving toys and many more. It looks as though Scott Derrickson's latest horror flick could be promising and can deliver huge fright to audiences inside the movie house.
In an Interview with Shock Till You Drop, Derrickson said that he was compelled to make the movie because he was fascinated with the idea of a cop, who had seen some of the worst humanity had to offer, "encountering a different kind of evil, a paranormal evil."
Will this movie beat other successful horror flicks such as "The Conjuring", "Sinister", "Insidious" and many more? If you've seen the trailer you would already know that Deliver Us From Evil is no ordinary horror movie, but for those who haven't seen it yet. Here's the trailer below.
