Here's something new from Batman Arkham Knight as new in-game images have been released and the game's producer hints more villains and some new Batmobile mechanics. Plus, rumors of Batman Arkham Knight being 40 percent finished? Here are the latest updates.

New photos of Batman Arkham Knight shows the Dark Knight gliding to through Gotham city, Batmobile blazing through the sewers and first look of the villains Penguin, Joker, and Harley Quinn in the game. These photos are posted in Batman Arkham's Facebook page.

Aside from the photos, Batman Arkham Knght's producer Dax Ginn hinted more villains to join the game as well a new Batmobile game mechanics. According to reports from Segment Next, Dax Ginn and the development team opted to develop a new character instead of converting one of the antagonists from the popular comic book franchise. He explained that all of previous villains reflected the personality traits of Batman in one way or another. On the other hand, none of the bad guys have really challenged the superhero from a physical standpoint.

As a result, Rocksteady Studios decided to team up with Geoff Johns and Jim Lee in order to create the Arkham Knight, who sports a similar armor to Batman. Dax Ginn commented on the game's development by saying.

"It came from thinking about the way that we built interactions and engagements between Batman and the other members of the rouges gallery. They all reflect some aspect of his personality. Each of the super-villains connects with Batman in a very specific way and he is a collection of all of those things, but we never really had a villain who can engage with Batman of a physical, powerful, combat level."

In an interview with PlayMag, Ginn further teased fans regarding Batman's equipment and the Batmobile.

"The way we balanced that is by ramping up the threat that he faces. This time around, Scarerow has returned and united all of the rogues gallery, all of the supervillans, so this is a threat that Batman has never faced before - this unified wall. In that context, he doesn't feel overpowered, he feels like he's at the right level of power to face this new threat.

Similarly, with adding the Batmobile, we didn't want it to feel like, "here is a brand new thing that could never have existed before" - from a narrative perspective we want it to feel like Batman has always had the Batmobile, we've just unveiled it here."

"The in and out gameplay is something we've put so much effort into. Just getting out of the Batmobile and getting back into the Batmobile should feel like a lot of fun and that's why we've got this eject and summon move, which is awesome, one of my favourite bits.

We gave the task of programming the Batmobile to the guy who coded Batman. So, all of the experience that he's developed over Arkham Asylum and Arkham City in making a character in Batman, he was then tasked with doing the same with the Batmobile. Which, on the one-hand is really high risk, but on the other hand, it gives you a vehicle that's full of character and really intimately linked to Batman because Adam has been responsible for creating both of these things."

There are been rumors that game itself is only 40% complete according game magazine GameMaster. Though London-based Rocksteady Studios hasn't confirmed this, players are somewhat alarmed by the rumor, since the game is scheduled to hit shelves in five months. If this were true, gaming fans will be devastated and all the work and time that Rocksteady had on the last game will be for nothing, and further delay of the game could cause more problems within the company.
