One of the most disappointing "Point Break" remake spoilers is when Gerard Butler backed out from the movie. He was supposed to play Bodhi, the rebel surfer that Patrick Swayze popularized back in the 90's.
According to Hollywood Reporter, the Scottish actor left the project because of creative differences and conflicts in schedule. The reboot will start filming this June, but that may be too soon for Gerard, who has already started shooting for "London Has Fallen", a sequel to the 2013 action flick "Olympus Has Fallen".
After hearing this news, fans of the epic surfing film are all wondering who would take over Gerard's role. Are you ready for some exciting "Point Break" remake spoilers? According to reports, Edgar Ramirez may be the next Bodhi!
I'm sure most of you will say, "Edgar who?" The Venezuelan actor is best known for his role in the French-German biopic series "Carlos". In fact, Ramirez won the Most Promising Actor in the 2011 Cesar Awards for this series.
His more popular roles include a CIA assassin in "The Bourne Ultimatum", CIA agent in "Zero Dark Thirty", and Ares in the "Wrath of the Titans". The 37-year old actor is now all set to face a different challenge in the remake of "Point Break".
The CEOs of Alcon Entertainment, Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson, have faith in Ramirez. They said, "We consider Edgar one of the finest actors in the world today and we are thrilled he will be creating a fresh new take on the iconic character of Bodhi."
Did that excite you? The "Point Break" remake spoilers don't stop there. Another foreign actor will be joining the cast and that is German-born actor Clemens Schick. He will play Roach, who is one of the followers of Bodhi.
Shick's more popular films included "Enemy at the Gates", "Casino Royale", and "The Burma Conspiracy". The 39-year old actor is currently busy filming German movies. How do you feel about the new "Point Break" remake spoilers?
