The latest installment of the dino film franchise will hit the theaters on June 12, 2015 and the new "Jurassic World" spoilers will surely get you excited. The CEO of Legendary Pictures, Thomas Tull, revealed during an interview with IGN that there could be more sequels in the future.
The financier of "Jurassic Park 4" said, "The ideas and script that they came up with, and story, are spectacular, so we may spend more than one piece in there." That's awesome! So there is a chance that there will be Jurassic Park 5 and maybe even Jurassic Park 6.
In a separate interview, film director Colin Treverrow also revealed that there are talks about having more sequels. The 37-year old director said, "We wanted to create something that would be a little bit less arbitrary and episodic, and something that could potentially arc into a series that would feel like a complete story."
I guess they wanted to give us more "Jurassic World" spoilers in the future and keep the dino fever alive for more years. "Jurassic Park" is one of the most successful film franchises in history. The first movie was released back in 1993 and its success paved way for more Jurassic films.
The original "Jurassic Park" received three Oscars and other awards. The next sequel, "The Lost World: Jurassic Park" (1997) was nominated at the Oscars. The third sequel, "Jurassic Park III" (2001) isn't as successful as the first two movies.
One factor could be the replacement of the director. The first two "Jurassic Park" films were directed by award-winning filmmaker Steven Spielberg while the third installment was directed by Joe Johnston (Captain America: The First Avenger).
Steven Spielberg may not be directing "Jurassic World", but he will still act as the executive producer. He gave Colin Trevorrow the honor of directing the fourth installment. He is best known for his work in "Safety Not Guaranteed".
