Guardians of the Galaxy trailer is here and it looks awesome!

‘Guardians Of The Galaxy,’ the upcoming American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name, has unveiled a second trailer which introduces a motley crew of space bandits.

‘Parks and Recreations’ Chris Pratt stars as Peter Quill (aka Star-Lord), an American pilot who finds himself the object of a manhunt after stealing an orb, which the villainous Ronan wants. In order to evade Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a group of space criminals including Gamora,Rocket, Drax the Destroyer, and Groot.

Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, Benicio del Toro, John C. Reilly, Glenn Close, Gregg Henry, Bradley Cooper, and Vin Diesel are also in the film! The foxy Bradley Cooper, if you watch the trailer, is actually starring as a fox. Vin Diesel stars as a… wait for it… tree. Yes, he is a tree.

‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ is directed by James Gunn and the script is written by Gunn with Nicole Perlman.

“Are you telling me, the fate of twelve billion people is in the hands of these criminals?” asks Rael (Glenn Close), the commander of the Nova Corps, an intergalactic peace-keeping force.

When Quill finds out the true power of the Orb, it gives the Guardians a chance to stop being the ‘criminals’ and start becoming the bad guys. “I look around and you know what I see? Losers!, “ Star-Lord says to his new gang in an attempt to be encouraging. “But life’s giving us a chance.”

It looks like there will also be a romance brewing between Chris Pratt’s character and Zoe Saldana’s green character.

The ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ movie is out on Aug. 1.
