She may be at the peak of her glitz and glamor but she is willing to trade the fame and the spotlight for her family. For Nicole Kidman, nothing could be more important than her family.
This statement came up during a press conference at the Cannes Film Festival for the actress' latest movie, Grace of Monaco. In this flick, Kidman portrayed the role of the late Grace Kelly. During the press conference, Kidman proudly remarked that she would not have second thoughts about leaving her career in entertainment to take care of her family.
When asked if her portrayal of the role got the approval of her husband, Keith Urban, the Oscar-winning actress confirmed, "If he said no, I wouldn't have done it."
Furthermore, she shared, "That's how we are. I know this sounds old-fashioned, but I do put it on the table because if it won't work for us, then I'm not doing it." She also said that she would be very much willing to leave the entertainment arena if her husband would ask her to choose between another big project or being a full-time mom.
"Yeah. If he asked me, no question," she said. "I would choose love absolutely. I wouldn't even think twice about it." Kidman considers love as the core emotion and, without it, her life could be very empty.
Kidman and Urban got married in 2006 and have two daughters, namely, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.
