There have been many positive "X-Men Days of Future Past" reviews coming out, which means that there is a huge chance that the film will hit its target of 100 million US dollars or more over the Memorial Day weekend.
According to Fandango, "X-Men Days of Future Past is the strongest selling film in the superhero franchise's decade and a half long history, trumping 2006′s X-Men: The Last Stand. It currently accounts for more than 90 percent of this weekend's ticket sales."
In a separate report published by MovieTickets.com, it revealed that the latest X-Men sequel has sold around 50% of all tickets domestically within 24 hours of release date. Next up was "Godzilla", which sold around 21% of all tickets in one day.
There's even a chance that the Bryan Singer movie will exceed its expectation because of all the "X-Men Days of Future Past" reviews. Here are some of them:
Peter Bradshaw, The Guardian: "The X-Men heroically save themselves from incoherence, as Hugh Jackman's Wolverine goes back in time in a dizzyingly satisfying sequel."
Sean O' Connell, Cinema Blend: The publication announced that the film critic rated the movie four and a half stars out of five, praising both the film's engaging story and exciting action sequences.
Christopher Borrelli, Chicago Tribune: "Bryan Singer's own innovation, while not straying so far from Marvel's playbook, is subtle: Stay light without being frivolous, remain emotionally committed without lapsing into imaginary gravitas."
The Wall Street Journal: "The new X-Men is the definition of a really good time. The film isn't flawless; sometimes too much of a good thing becomes a sprawl. But the new X-Men directed by Bryan Singer from a script by Simon Kinberg, feels urgently important while it's happening and thoroughly satisfying once it's over. That's my definition of a really good time."
Peter Travers, Rolling Stone: "This is actually a spectacularly good movie, I can't believe how good it is!" He added, "If you're an X-Men newbie...you either need to be stoned, or you need to do a tremendous catch-up before this one."
