Manny Pacquiao news features Bob Arum's statement that Pacquiao vs. Mayweather super fight will eventually happen even further stating that the match will be a win-win situation for both champion boxers.

In a report by the South Chine Morning Post, the Top Rank chief has remained positive that the highly anticipated mega fight can still happen, despite the common belief that "Pacman's" contract extension with his long-time promoter may have killed the possibility.

"I think that fight will eventually happen," Arum confidently stated. "We are certainly open to the fight happening and we are prepared to sit down with [the Mayweather team] at any time and work out terms."

The idea of a Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather showdown has been thrown around the boxing world since 2009, during "Pacman's" reign as the top pound-for-pound fighter in the world.

But nothing has come into fruition due to Manny Pacquiao's alleged Performance Enhancing Drug use, fighter pay issues, and the Mayweather camp's refusal to do business with Bob Arum.

Five years later, the hype may have died down among boxing fans, but a great majority of them are still open to watching how the fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather would play out.

This is why Bob Arum believes that the decision is left for Floyd Mayweather to make, considering that he still has three fights left in his lucrative six-fight deal with television network Showtime.

"If you look at it from Mayweather's standpoint, he has this unbelievable deal with Showtime paying him all this money," Arum continued. "So he would probably figure, 'I have three more fights under the Showtime contract'."

Arum also stated that it would be a win-win situation for Floyd Mayweather, given his undefeated record and the amount of money he can potentially make.

"He would figure, 'Why don't I do those [three] fights for the easy money and then in 2016, with my 50th fight, I could beat the [49-0] record of [Rocky] Marciano by fighting Pacquiao'," he added.
