The Final Fantasy XV release date has been set on March 2015 as the PC version of the game will be announced on the upcoming E3 2014.
EpicStream reports that, Square Enix game producer Shinji Hashimoto confirms that Final Fantasy XV is scheduled to be release on March 2015 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. While fans are somewhat disappointed on that announcement, they still had hopes on the FFXV appearance along with Kingdom Hearts 3 in E3 2014.
It was during the Thailand Comic-Con that Square Enix featured new footage from the original trailer of Final Fantasy XV which led to the speculation that the company will likely showcased another trailer on E3 2014.
Shinji Hashimoto teased fans of a "surprise" that is waiting to be unveiled on E3 2014.
"We would like to keep it secret. It just only a few months from now. I'm pretty sure you will be surprised.
Actually it is not only in June, there will be many events from now on such as San Diego Comicon, Tokyo Game Show, and others.
We might tell you what is our plans, but it's better you see by yourself at Tokyo."
Hashimoto mentioned some plot details about the characters in the game: Noctis, Gladiolus, Ignis, Promopto, and Cor.
"These five characters will be wrapped around a plot of two kingdoms in a cold war. This war is about the possession of a crystal which is the last one in existence. However, when a magic barrier which nulls the use of weapons falls around the kingdom of Rushisu, an invasion occurs from their aggressors. Noctis and his allies afterwards are involved in an all-out war over the crystal."
Meanwhile, Final Fantasy XV for PC is rumored to be showcased at E3 2014.
Bit Bag reports that Square Enix CEO Yosuke Matsuda stated that the game is made with Direct X 11 tools as they confirmed that FFXV will be on the PC.
Gear Nuke also reported that Hashimoto added new software details in hopes of satisfying the fans expectations as they wait a little longer.
"We haven't decided when, but we're currently preparing new information that may meet everyone's expectations. Please wait for a little while longer."
