Wiz Khalifa arrested last Sunday morning at the El Paso International Airport in Texas. According to E! News, the rapper has been confronted with a TSA officer after being detected with a metal container containing a prohibited item.

El Paso Chief of Police Gregory K. Allen revealed, "The TSA Officer learned that Thomaz did not have any identification which led to him being sent for secondary screening. During that screening, the TSA Officer located a metal container inside of the backpack which contained a prohibited item." Cameron Thomaz refers to the real name of the arrested rapper.

An investigation revealed that the said 'prohibited item' that led to Wiz Khalifa arrested is actually 0.5 grams of weed. Wiz Khalifa arrested for possession of marijuana, which is legally considered as a misdemeanor. Then, he was brought to the El Paso County Detention Facility. He is now required to pay a bond amounting to $300. The arrested rapper has already settled the bond and, as of this writing, his release is still under process.

If Wiz Khalifa arrested bothered other people around him, definitely it did not affect him that much. Instead of wallowing on his misery, the rapper even shared a photo he named 'Jail Selfie' through his Twitter account. To be specific, he shared live updates regarding his imprisonment. Using the phrase, 'Free Trap Wiz', he even shared a photo of his cell door. The phrase he used as caption for this photo was later turned by his fans and supporters into a hashtag. The rapper also revealed that he was set to drop his new single entitled '28 Grams' that day that he got 'locked up'.

Wiz Khalifa successfully owned his own version of selfie. This time, it would be more appropriately known as 'cell-fie'. At present, press is still awaiting official confirmation of the rapper's release from jail.
