Marvel's Agent's of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns to ABC network as the release date for Season 2 is set on September 2015.
According to the reports from gospleherald.com, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D will be shown alongside Marvel and ABC's new show Agent Carter in a new timeslot of 9pm. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 2 is speculated to have a more "darker" tone in terms plot as Season 2 will likely explore Skye's mysterious origins, and Phil Coulson's task of reviving S.H.I.E.L.D. as its new director.
Speaking of plots, new leaked details have surfaced regarding Iain De Caestecker's character Agent Leo Fitz.
Enstarz reported that the show's executive producer Jed Whedon and Clark Gregg hinted that Agent Fitz will undergo another "TAHITI" project.
In the season 1 finale of the show, Leo Fitz suffered a coma as a result of the escape plan he hatched with Agent Jemma Simmons when they were trapped inside escape pod under water. Former S.H.I.E.L.D. director Nick Fury saved both Fitz and Simmons lives and his doctors will do whatever they can to save Fitz's life.
Jed Whedon hinted that Fitz will not be the same after the TAHITI procedure.
We're not positive how he made it through - or how far he made it through," Whedon told Buzzfeed "There are still some questions to be answered there."
The TAHITI project is the same procedure that brought Phil Coulson back to life using a blood sample from a dead "blue" alien. The blood sample was also used on both Skye and John Garrett during their near death experiences within the show.
Marvel Studios has confirmed that the blue alien is in fact, a Kree, and we would likely see more of them in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 2 or a new movie for Phase 3 in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
