The director-actor relationship between Quentin Tarantino and Uma Thurman is, by far, one of the strongest and the longest in the showbiz industry. Now, after approximately two decades from their first teamup in Pulp Fiction, Tarantino and Thurman are giving their relationship a whole new meaning - a romantic one! Indeed, the director could now say that his muse is already his!
According to a reliable source, the two spent time together at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival in France. They even stayed in the same villa together.
"They had a thing together and got together again recently," an insider revealed. "He's loved her for years." Both the director and his muse attended the film festival last May 24 as presentors. The blonde star was seen wearing a floor-length couture gown by Atelier Versace. The rumored couple walked hand-in-hand when they arrived at the red carpet.
A day before the film festival's main event, both Tarantino and Thurman also went to the Pulp Fiction screening where they reunited with John Travolta. This 1994 crime flick became Thurman's big break in Hollywood. After Pulp Fiction, Thurman worked with the director again for Kill Bill: Volumes 1 and 2.
Another source shared, "There has always been an attraction. She has indulged from time to time and that's how their relationship has always worked." Those close to either Thurman or Tarantino could attest to the strong bond of friendship the two has managed to build for so many years.
Previously, Thurman was wife to Ethan Hawke until the couple divorced in 2004. Less than a decade ago, Thurman also got engaged to Arpad 'Arki' Busson, a hedge-fund tycoon. Busson and Thurman reportedly ended their on-and-off relationship on April this year. Meanwhile, Tarantino was linked to stars Kathy Griffin and Mira Sorvino, director Sofia Coppola and costume designer Courtney Hoffman.
