"Orange Is the New Black" cast member Taylor Schilling is on the cover of Glow Magazine's summer issue, out on newsstands now!
The "Orange Is the New Black" star talked about her weight, saying, "I'm an actor, not a model. I will never compromise myself or my health just to fit into something trendy. We have to realize that all women in all bodies are beautiful."
Schilling also talked about how she likes how "Orange Is the New Black" portrays a more realistic view of the different demographics in America.
Schilling said, "Sometimes the entertainment industry denies reality, but the reality is, when you walk down the street there are so many different variations of what it means to be a human being and a woman, and I believe they are all OK ... The series has made more space for realistic characters on TV that are based on all kinds of real people, as they're all valuable and worth having their story told."
Costar Jason Biggs apparently agrees with Schilling about appreciating the variety of different people and regarding the show's themes of sexuality, gender and race.
"In terms of how groundbreaking it's been, it feels really amazing to be a part of it," Biggs said to FOX411. "I stand for everything the show stands for. I work alongside a transgender actress, lesbian actresses, straight actresses, black, white and Latina."
Schilling also talked about her Golden Globe nomination, saying that it validated her talents. She said, "Before [the nomination], I hadn't had the opportunity to share my talents yet. Now I know I've finally been seen by so many people and I'm on the right track. I'm so grateful Jenji [Kohan, creator of OITNB] saw who I really was during my audition. She saw what I was capable of."
The hit Netflix show "Orange Is the New Black" season 2 starts back up again on June 6.
