Manny Pacquiao news revels Prince Amir Shafipour's bold statements on how he can bring the highly anticipated mega fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. in Dubai next year.

The UAE fight promoter spoke to Gulf News right after a successful Global Fighting Championship event held at Dubai World Trade Center.

"I will honestly and truthfully tell you that if anyone can convince them to fight, and to fight in Dubai, I can," Shafipour confidently said of the news Manny Pacquiao news. "I have a lot of worldwide connections, with managers, promoters, fighters, people in the business, who speak the same language that Mayweather and Pacquiao are speaking."

"I am currently working with a major boxing promoter in the USA, who is connected to both the Pacquiao and Mayweather camps, and who has the capacity to help me pull this off," he added. "It's not a boast, it's a commitment."

Since 2009, the Manny Pacquiao-Floyd Mayweather showdown has been in most boxing-related conversations. Unfortunately for fans world have only been met with disappointed as both camps have seemingly failed to meet each other's demands.

In addition, the long-standing rift between Top Rank promoter Bob Arum, who happens to be Manny Pacquiao's promoter, and Floyd Mayweather Jr. have ultimately killed the mere possibility of the fight happening.

But Shafipour's dedication to "build up boxing in the UAE" makes him believe that he can make the elusive match-up between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather happen, adding that he "has the formula" to make what is now believed to be a fantasy fight into a reality.

"Both of them know that the whole world wants to see them fight. And which fighter does not want to give what the world wants?" Shafipour said. "I know many people have failed to bring them to the ring, for many reasons, but I believe that we have the formula to make it happen. And then the whole boxing scene will explode."
