Television personality Sherri Shepherd is currently in the throes of real divorce drama. Reportedly, the talk show host's estranged husband is fuming because she is not planning to cut her workload as the birth of their child via a surrogate approaches.
"Why do you have to go to work, why do you have to... and you are trying to explain to them mommy is trying to pay the bills. Mommy's trying to take care of you," Shepherd said during The View's discussion about being a working parent.
Shepherd's current husband, Lamar Sally, moves toward legal separation from the TV host. In his court papers, Sally is seeking full custody of the couple's unborn child with "reasonable" visitation offered to Shepherd.
Guardian Liberty Voice reported that Sally is not the only one making seditious remarks about the television star. It appears that Shepherd's former husband Jeff Tarpley is now exposing her mothering skills.
Report says that Tarpley is seeking full custody of their nine-year-old son Jeffrey Jr. Court documents filed last April in Los Angeles stated that Shepherd's busy schedule as a television host and touring stand-up comedienne, leaves "the primary responsibility of their son to unskilled nannies."
According to People, Tarpley claims in his petition that Shepherd's busy work schedule "caused her to neglect Jeffrey and deprive him access to basic educational needs, a nurturing and loving environment, and care that Jeffrey so desperately needs."
Sherri Shepherd is countering Tarpley's claims calling her ex-husband an absentee father and not capable of raising their son. A hearing has been set for July 21 to address Jeff Tarpley's claims. The pair had been divorced since 2011.
"I think it's terrible that these two guys have gotten together and they're trying to bury Sherri. [Tarpley] says that her schedule is too busy and that she is neglecting their son Jeffrey and leaving him with unskilled nannies. Well, somebody's got to work!" Wendy Williams, Sherri Shepherd's friend stated.
