The Tekken franchise is home to a diverse group of characters that span from different ethnicities and creatures from Russians to Japanese and from Pandas to Devils. If Katsuhiro Harada's tweets are to be believed, Tekken 7 could be the game where a Filipino fighter would be added to the roster.
Tekken creator, Katsuhiro Harada is considering that possibility of adding a Filipino character to Tekken 7 and it's due to his "love" for the Filipino fast food chain, Jollibee.
Last March, Katsuhiro Harada tweeted "Jollibeeeeeeeeeee!!!" and it was revealed that he was a big fan of the Filipino fast food chain.
And last May 29, 2014, User KunehoKun tweeted Harada and said "Harada-san, love your work on Namco's fighting games! Hope you can add Filipino characters" and Katsuhiro Harada promptly replied with "Jollibeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! I'll consider".
While this isn't a confirmation of any kind, many Filipino fans of the game love the idea of Harada adding another Filipino fighter in Tekken 7 as technically, in the game bio, Mokujin is Filipino.
It should be noted that a stage in Tekken Tag Tournament 2 called "Coastline Sunset" is located in the Philippines.
Coastline Sunset is a stage in the console version of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 set in the Philippines, most likely by the Manila Bay, which is known for its sunset view. Surroundings include palm trees, crashed cars and jeepneys driving (a common mode of transportation in the Philippines) with billboards advertising Timezone and Quantum, as well as a crowd overlooking the fight (most likely located along Manila Bay at sundown). Little children are sitting on top of the tricycles (another form of transportation in the Philippines, defined as a motorcycle with an attached side car) as well.
