The sequel to the 2008 first person, action-adventure parkour style game, Mirror's Edge 2 has a new concept art.
Gamespot reports that the new concept art shown above was posted yesterday in the official Mirror's Edge 2 Facebook Page. It shows the game's protagonist Faith looking ready to run through the city with the hashtag #E32014.
It was hinted last year that Mirror's Edge 2 will now be an "open-world" game and it is currently being developed by EA Digital Illusions CE (DICE) for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and for the PC.
According to reports from CVG, EA's Executive Vice-President Patrick Soderlund hinted that Mirror's Edge 2 would feature innovations and gameplay that could only be achieved on the next-gen hardware.
"What I can say is we're taking more of an action adventure approach on it than maybe before," Soderlund said. "First-person, running predominantly - this will be more of an action adventure game, but true to what the first one was to a large extent."
A teaser trailer for Mirror's Edge 2 has been released already as gaming fans are hyped to see what the sequel will look as E3 2014 draws near this week.
Will EA be able to surprise gaming fans in the event?
