True Blood season 7's start date is June 22! The seventh season of the popular vampire show starring Oscar winner Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, and Alexander Skarsgård will also be its last.
HBO recently shared a synopsis of the 7th season, which reads: "True Blood begins its ten-episode, seventh and final season Sunday, June 22 at 9:00 p.m. Mixing romance, suspense, mystery and humor, the series takes place in a world where vampires and humans co-exist, after vampires have come out of the coffin, thanks to the invention of mass-produced synthetic blood that means they no longer need humans as a nutritional source. The series follows waitress and part-faerie Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), who can hear people's thoughts, vampire Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) and vampire Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgård). Alan Ball created the show, which is based on the bestselling Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris."
True Blood star Anna Paquin tweeted early Monday June 8, "Proud to be a happily married bisexual mother." She added in the Twitter handles of Equality California, the It Gets Better Project, and the NOH8 Campaign, and then tweeted, "Marriage is about love not gender."
Paquin wed her True Blood costar Stephen Moyer back in August 2010, and gave birth to their twins Charlie and Poppy two years later. She memorably came out as bisexual a few months before her wedding to Moyer in a statement for the Give a Damn campaign.
Of her bisexuality, the Oscar winning actress told Zooey magazine back in 2010, "For me, it's not really an issue because I'm someone who believes being bisexual is actually a thing. It's not made up. It's not a lack of decision."
The actress added, "It's not being greedy or numerous other ignorant things I've heard at this point. For a bisexual, it's not about gender. That's not the deciding factor for who they're attracted to."
