Singapore Changi Airport was named the World's Best International Airport for two years in a row which beat out Incheon, South Korea Airport at the World Airport Award held in Barcelona, Spain.

Incheon International in Seoul, South Korea, ranked second just as it did last year. It also won awards for best international transit and best immigration service.

On the other hand, Changi also won the award for best airport leisure amenities. NBC News reported that Changi has something to boast about.

"The airport building boasts a cactus garden, an orchid garden and koi pond, a sunflower garden and a butterfly garden. Terminal Three also has Singapore's tallest indoor slide," NBC News describes the landing field,

According to CNN, the awards are based on surveys conducted by Skytrax, an international travel research and consultants firm, which polled 12.85 million passengers across 110 nationalities about 395 airports worldwide.

"Changi Airport Singapore is showing itself to be much more than an airport. Changi Airport offers a travel experience in itself and continues to develop its quality standards to be named the world's favorite airport again," Edward Plaisted, CEO of Skytrax said.

"Changi Airport is a well-known leader and innovator for the airport industry and genuinely delights and surprises travellers who are lucky enough to enjoy the airport facilities. Changi Airport demonstrates how to make the airport experience an enjoyable part of the journey that is so important in today's fast-moving world."

Reportedly, not one US airport made it to top 10 this year. Even New York's LaGuardia Airport did not make it to the list.

"LaGuardia Airport is ranked the worst airport in America. That is a disgrace, my friends. And it is unacceptable," New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said earlier this year.
