How To Train Your Dragon 2

'How To Train Train Your Dragon 2' will hit theaters this Friday June 13! America Ferrera recently spoke with Latina.com about the sequel.

'How To Train Train Your Dragon 2' is set in the mythical world of burly Vikings and wild dragons from the first movie, and is based on the book by Cressida Cowell. The action comedy is set five years after the first one. Director Dean DeBlois revealed in an interview about the story: "At the end of last film, all these Vikings who were previously somewhat landlocked are now on the backs of dragons so the entire Northern Hemisphere opens up to them. And with that Hiccup's curiosity increases, the map expands and inevitably they are going to come across new dragons, new cultures."

Ferrera returns as Astrid in 'How to Train Your Dragon 2' and Astrid returns to ride Stormfly into more adventures. The all-star cast of the animated film including Jay Baruchel, Gerard Butler, Jonah Hill, Cate Blanchett, and many more.

"I love this film," Ferrera said to Latina. "The first one was so moving and exciting and it was such a great experience and I think like everyone, we felt the burden of how do we make a sequel that lives up to that. What was incredible was that the second film is everything the first movie was, but even bigger and deeper and even more emotional."

Ferrera said about her character Astrid, "Well, the characters are all five years older now so their look is a little bit different. Astrid is still the competitive, natural born leader that she was in the first film and she's got a lot of adventure and excitement in this one. While Hiccup goes off on his own discovery and journey with his family, Astrid leads the charge with the other kids and they run into the main bad guy in this film. She has a lot of adventure and it's fun! I like that she continues to be in the action and she has a lot to do."
