Sandra Bullock's stalker has scared the multi-awarded actress as reports reveal she had to lock herself in a room until her alleged thief and stalker was arrested early Sunday at the "Gravity" star's house in West Los Angeles. Authorities later found the stalker with a machine gun, the TMZ reported.
The CNN further reported that Sandra Bullock's stalker Joshua James Corbett, aged 39, allegedly broke into the "Gravity" star's home and stayed there for more than an hour before cops found him.
However, the Los Angeles Police cleared that the stalker "was not in possession of the machine gun at the time of the break-in" but found the gun while investigating his home.
The suspect said he is not a thief but confirmed that he just wanted to see the "Miss Congeniality" star "face-to-face." The alleged stalker, who came all the way from Montrose, also admitted that he kept a diary on his fascination with the movie star.
Corbett, who was confirmed by CNN as a licensed private pilot, was arrested as local authorities responded to a "hot prowler" call at around 6:30. He was found outside Sandra Bullock's house but within her vicinity while the actress is fast asleep.
According to Deputy District Attorney Wendy Segall, Sandra Bullock's stalker allegedly climbed a chain-link fence with barbed wire to break in to her vicinity at about 5 a.m. on Sunday.
Segall added that the alleged stalker has now been charged with first degree felony counts of residential burglary, stalking and possession of a machine gun, the Huffington Post report said.
The deputy attorney also added that if Sandra Bullock's stalker was proven guilty, he will face a maximum of seven years and four months of imprisonment.
The "Gravity" star just received the "Decade of Hotness" award in the recently held Guys Choice Award when she slept Saturday night in her Los Angeles home. TMZ said her son was with his nanny and was not inside the house when the incident happened.
