Fans can't wait to see Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart reunite, but they may not have the time to rekindle their love. Both Hollywood stars are reportedly busy with their acting careers. Just recently, the two actors went to Cannes to promote their latest film. However, they arrived separately since their films are screening far apart from each other.
After their Cannes Film Festival stint, it seems that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are gearing up for new roles. There were rumors that the 28-year old actor is being considered as the new Indiana Jones. The iconic movie character was made famous by Harrison Ford so Robert has some big shoes to fill in.
According to The Daily Star, the actor that played Edward Cullen is the top candidate for the role. However, HollywoodLife claims that he is just one of the many actors that are being considered. A source revealed, "Disney really wants more Indiana Jones and they will definitely do it."
Since Harrison Ford is already 71-years old, then he may have a hard time doing the action scenes. The insider said, "Robert Pattinson is one of many considered for the role but in no way is he the number one choice." The source added, "He is far down the list and the chance of him becoming Indiana Jones is slim to none and slim just left town."
Die-hard "Indiana Jones" fans reacted to the news; and one fan posted on Twitter: "Just read a rumor that Robert Pattinson might be the new Indiana Jones. I think I just felt my childhood get kicked in the balls."
Another fan tweeted, "Robert Pattinson has been cast as the new Indiana Jones. When he heard the news, he was so surprised that his face turned pale." What's weirder than this is if we see Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart doing a reboot of "Romancing The Stone", which starred Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner.
If Rob will be the next Indiana Jones, then guess what will be Kristen's next role? The 24-year old actress is being eyed as Disney's new Belle. Because of the success of Angeline Jolie's "Maleficent", the producers wanted to create a movie version of "Beauty and the Beast".
A source told Hollywood Life, "The process and the script for the movie are still in the beginning stages but as it fleshes out, Bill Condon has definitely thought of Kristen Stewart as a possible Belle."
The insider added, "By the time they make the film, it might be 2015 or 2016 and they think she'll be busy and they might go after somebody younger. Disney's thoughts are the big name for the film should be devoted to the Beast so Kristen has a 50/50 chance to be Belle."
