People have been wondering when will Taylor Swift have a new boyfriend and who would it be. The "I Knew You Were Trouble" hitmaker have been linked to several guys, including ex-boyfriend John Mayer, Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel, and "Divergent" star Theo James.
Rumors also spread that the country singer was dating her best friend Ed Sheeran because they were together most of the time. They also have this chemistry and enjoy writing songs about their past relationships.
However, the 23-year old crooner claims that those rumors aren't true. During an interview with Rolling Stone, Ed joked about their breakup songs and revealed that he isn't Taylor Swift's new boyfriend. He said, "Taylor's one of these people that if you piss her off and she writes a song about you, it's not good news for you."
Ed Sheeran also said, "I've never dated Taylor. I've dated a few singers, though." Well, you don't have to date to fall for each other because most relationships are formed out of a good friendship.
During the filming of MTV documentary, Ed Sheeran showed off Taytay's Christmas gift for him. It was a needlepoint work that featured one of Drake's famous lines: "started from the bottom." Could this mean that she wanted to take things slow with her BFF?
There was a glow in Ed Sheeran's eyes each time he talks about Taylor Swift; and he even revealed his gift for her last Christmas. He said, "I got a plate, it was a silver plate with all the Red Tour dates engraved into it, which took a while to do."
The two musicians toured together for six months because Ed was Taylor's opening act during her Red Tour last year. The British singer revealed, "I don't think she's teamed up with anyone; I think she did it all on her own. It's really good."
All praises from Ed and he also knows where Taytay's career is heading. He said, "She has to evolve. If she makes another Red everyone will be like, 'It sounds like Red.' But she's evolved and I think it's a positive step."
