Kerri, daughter of Top 40 and radio icon Casey Kasem was allowed by the court to cut-off food, water and medication from her father after suffering from Advanced Parkinson's.

Kerri said her father gave a health directive and signed a document in 2007 stating that he is willing to die if living "would result in a mere biological existence, devoid of cognitive function, with no reasonable hope for normal functioning." Thus the court's decision keeps what her father wishes.

But the question is, will Kerri actually do it? Kerri is the eldest among Casey's children and has been known to be close to the retired American musician, disk jockey and actor for 29 years. Casey has also been known as the voice of Norville "Shaggy" Rogers in the Scooby-Doo franchise from 1969 to 1997, and again from 2002 until 2009.

Kerri's stepmother Jean Kasem disagrees with this. Her lawyer disputes saying, (it is) "the functional equivalent of a death sentence".

Kerri's lawyer Troy Martin says in a CNN report, "at best prolong the dying process for him and will certainly add suffering to an already terribly uncomfortable dying process".

The ongoing fight in the family stemmed when the three older children claimed Jean did not allow them to visit their father since October 2013.

Casey is now under the care of a hospice but Kerri says she holds no grudge against Jean and her stepsisters. She even invited Jean to visit Casey before he dies. "We hope she'll come back. There aren't any visiting hours in hospice and the judge said she can visit at any time," a source told The News Thursday.

Kerri posts on her Facebook status, "For people who do not understand the natural dying process: Giving food and water to a dying body creates pain and further suffering. The body does not want or require food or water anymore in the dying process. My father no longer digest foods and fluids fill his lungs up and will suffocate him. My Dad IS on pain meds."

Based on this, Kerri clearly states that she wants to end her father's suffering.

Until when can we expect a loving daughter to witness such pain?
