Pippa Middleton is currently on a journey to complete a 3000-mile bike ride across United States to help the British Heart Foundation.

Pippa, 30, and her 27-year-old brother James began their 3000-mile, 12-state, 88-county "Race Across America" charity which will travel from the East Coast to the West Coast, according to E! News.

In a statement posted on the fundraising page Just Giving, Pippa wrote, "On 14th June, my brother and I, along with six friends will be setting off on a West to East Coast Race Across America (RAAM). This relay cycling event spans 3,000 miles, 12 states and 88 counties. We are aiming to complete this non-stop challenge in eight days, riding between 350 and 500 miles a day."

Pippa and James are part of a team that is made up of eight bikers, including James Matthews, the siblings' good friend who are all raising funds in honor of Matthews' brother who passed away while journeying Mt. Everest back in 1999, ABC News confirmed.

In line with this, Pippa will also be raising money to help the British Heart Foundation, for which she is an ambassador. In a statement released by the BHF, Pippa expressed, "I was shocked to learn that nearly three times more women die from coronary heart disease than breast cancer. I'm passionate about raising awareness amongst women of this killer disease and I look forward to working with BHF to highlight to women the risks of heart disease and more importantly, how they can reduce them."

Following the success of her 3000-mile bike ride, Pippa will then head to Instanbul where she will be joining the Bosphorus Cross-Continental Race, Contact Music has said.

"Shortly after this, we will be heading over to Instanbul to take on the Bosphorus Cross-Continental Race. This 6.5km historical swim crosses two continents --- Europe to Asia, across one of the world's busiest shipping lanes. We are taking on these two overseas sporting challenges to raise money for two charities that are very close to our hearts."
