Which is the better phablet for consumers and gadget enthusiast? We pit the LG G Flex versus the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 to see which phablet is user friendly.
In terms of design and phablet size, the LG G Flex will impress you with its extremely large P-OLED screen of 6 inches. It renders a resolution of 720x1280pixels, while the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 supports a higher resolution of 1080x1920pixels on its 4.7 inches Super AMOLED screen.
The LG G Flex is a lot heavier, weighting 177grams, but you shouldn’t be surprised, because it’s bigger, measuring 160.5×81.6×8.7mm while the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is 9grams lighter, and its dimensions are 151.2×79.2×8.3mm.
For hardware and software, the LG G Flex has a disadvantaged because it comes only with a variant on internal memory of 32GB and it is powered by a quad core krait 400 processor (clocked at 2.26GHz) and has a Qualcomm MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 chipset. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 on the other hand has the same quad core krait 400 processor, but it’s clocked at 2.3GHz. The chipset is Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 and It has two variants of internal storage:16 and 32GB expandable up to 64GB, and another variant of 64GB.
Both of these phablets are Androids and run on the Jelly Bean version. The LG G Flex comes with 2GB of RAM while the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has an extra RAM. Both devices are also equipped with primary cameras of 13MP, which share similar features such as LED flash and autofocus. The LG G Flex has a 2.1MP secondary camera, while the Samsung Galaxy Note 3’s front camera is of 2MP, but you wouldn't notice the “tiny” difference in resolution.
In terms of battery ang longevity, users can talk almost 15 hours on the LG G Flex, which has a non-removable Li-Po battery with a capacity of 3500mAh while the Samsung Galaxy Note 3’s battery is replaceable, and has a lower capacity of 3200mAh, which allows you to talk 21 hours, on 3G.
