Most World Cup 2014 ticket buyers are fans coming from Latin America. However, U.S. fans have dominated the biggest number of fans out of Brazil who have bought tickets for this biggest sporting event, this is according to data released by this year's World Cup governing body.

Within the Latin American borders, fans from Brazil dominated the largest numbers of ticket buyers, purchasing 1,363,179 seats or 60% available of the matches around 12 cities in Brazil, FIFA further stated. Brazilian fans are expecting a better game experience for Brazil this year, as compared to the last time the country hosted the World Cup, when Brazil lost to Uruguay, 2-1.

The Brazilian government intentionally held matches for the World Cup in 12 cities to promote the various regions around the country, popularly known for the booming Sao Paulo business district and the Carnival-friendly Rio de Janeiro. Aside from two biggest Brazilian cities hosting the matches, remote regions in the country like, Amazon and the southern Pantanal will likewise hold some matches every now and then.

Rio de Janeiro is the second city that welcomed the World Cup final twice after Mexico City did, in 1970 and 1986, respectively. The other FIFA 2014 World Cup Brazilian city hosts are Belo Horizonte, Brasilia, Curitiba, Fortaleza, Manaus, Natal, Porto Alegre, Recife, Salvador, and of course, Sao Paulo.

Brazil's geographical neighbored borders to South American countries and the United States was the reason for luring in a large fan base from the Western continent, as shown by the FIFA data. Americans are among the second largest ticket buyers for the event, selling up to 196,838 seats.
