"Harry Potter" characters were spotted walking on the red carpet as part of Universal Studios Florida's launch of its upcoming attraction called "Wizarding World of Harry Potter-Diagon Alley."
On Wednesday, Universal Studios opened the "Wizarding World of Harry Potter-Diagon Alley" to media and travel industry insiders.
The attraction, inspired by the famous "Harry Potter" series, gives fans and visitors the opportunity to experience Harry's world, up close and personal.
A newly-built Hogwarts Express connects the Wizarding World to the original Harry Potter attraction called "Hogsmeade" that opened in 2010, according to The Wichita Eagle.
One of the biggest perks of visiting the attraction is getting that rare chance to ride the Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts ride, WFMY News 2 has said.
In an interview with Reuters, actor Tom Felton, who portrayed the role of Draco Malfoy confirmed that Universal Studios' Diagon Alley is much better than the set they filmed on for the past couple of years.
"It's far more immersive. There's no scaffolding, no green screen, no electricians standing around."
Felton, who was there for the red carpet opening of the attraction was also joined by actress Helena Bonham Carter who portrayed the role of Bellatrix Lestrange.
Unfortunately, Daniel Radcliffe who played the role of Harry Potter, Emma Watson who portrayed the role of Hermione Granger and Rupert Grint who played the character of Ron Weasley did not make it to the exclusive opening due to schedule conflicts.
Meanwhile, on its website, Universal Studios has also published an official preview of what people may expect to see when they visit the Wizarding World, CS Monitor confirmed.
John Gerner, a Richmond-based theme park consultant said, "There are heightened expectations for this expansion."
As such, the upcoming opening of the "Wizarding World of Harry Potter-Diagon Alley" on July 8 is expected to boost revenue sales in Florida.
