After wrapping the Oprah-produced reality show about her life in April, former child star Lindsay Lohan is now preparing for a comeback, this time, in the London theater scene. Lohan has been in the city for two months, making preparations for a potential appearance in David Mamet's "Speed-the-Plow" this November.

The "Mean Girls" actress revealed her plans for a West End debut to New York Times while supporting fashion designer friend Jeremy Scott's first men's show for Moschino in London.

"It's the first time I've done a stage play or anything like that," The young actress told NY Times. "I'm nervous but I'm excited."

"She's been in London really trying to get her life together and got to meeting with a bunch of agents and managers and it just came together," a source told Yahoo, "She's been studying for the role for over a month."

The Telegraph reports Lohan to be looking for a home in London, all the while staying at various hotels during her two-month stay. Model Tom Kilbey, who the paparazzi-hounded star was romantically linked to, said she liked the London scene.

Lohan's comeback, according to Yahoo, is a "curious choice." The 27-year-old actress will be playing "Karen," a naïve secretary and actress who becomes part of Hollywood's manipulative system.

"Speed-the-Plow" is a three-person play by David Mammet that premiered on Broadway in 1988 and starred Madonna as "Karen." A review by theater critic Frank Rich praised the iconic artist's Broadway debut saying, "It's a relief to report that this rock star's performance is safely removed from her own Hollywood persona. Madonna serves Mr. Mamet's play ... with intelligent, scrupulously disciplined comic acting." Yahoo believes this is a great goal that Lohan should aspire to.

Alicia Silverstone, who shared the same turbulent time under the spotlight as Lohan, played the role of "Karen," in 2006. Mad Men's Elisabeth Moss then took over in 2009.
