Taylor Swift chatted about her new album in Shanghai at the end of her 'Red' tour and held a press conference, which can be watched below!
Swift was asked about her new album, to which she said, "That is my favorite question yet! This will be our last leg of the RED Tour. We're not going to announce some other leg of the tour. But what that does that does mean is I can throw myself into the next project. I've already been working very hard on it and it's already my favorite thing that I've ever created. So the idea that after Asia, I get to go back and finish everything and get everything completely done and wrapped up for a new project, it's very exciting. It's exciting to be here and to know that this is the end of a musical era in my life that I'm proud of. It's also very exciting to move onto the next one."
She added about the new album, "As I've grown up, the things I've written about have completely evolved with how I was growing. I was writing songs about what it was like to be 18, what it was like to be 20, what it's like to be 22 and now I'm 24 and I'm still writing songs about my life. I think I really just love the unity it brings me and the audience because chances are they've felt the exact same way I felt when I wrote the song and I think it kind of reminds them - and it reminds me - that the human experience isn't so lonely."
Swift's BFF Ed Sheeran who recently released his second studio album, x, on June 23, can be seen in MTV's one-hour documentary Nine Days and Nights of Ed Sheeran, which premiered June 10.
Sheeran admits that he was under a bit of pressure to do well on his second album, saying, "This is a make or break situation."
Nine Days and Nights of Ed Sheeran also includes interviews, concert footage, TV and radio appearances as well as quotes from Sheeran's BFF, Taylor Swift.
"The first thing that struck me was his voice," Swift said about Sheeran. "I've never been more jealous of anything in my life."
