Pippa Middleton News Today: Matt Lauer of "Today" flew to London to chat with Kate Middleton's little sister last June 25. According to Daily News, the two-part interview will be aired on June30 and July 1 on NBC.
"I flew overnight to interview someone who's gotten an awful lot of attention over the past two or three years, yet who has never sat down to do a television interview," Lauer teased prior to the on the air reveal last Wednesday that he was sitting with Pippa Middleton.
Reportedly, Lauer joked that he had to catch "an overnight flight to London" for his interview with Ms. Middleton.
"I hate to say it but I was actually in America last week," the 30-year-old magazine columnist who recently returns from the US after completing a 3,000-mile, 12-state charitable bike trip responded to Lauer.
Daily Mail reported that the siblings and five other men had set off from California last week on the Race across America with the aim of crossing 12 states to raise money for charity.
They biked through California, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Maryland.
"She was riding in a bike event, and instead of me being able to interview her there, I had to fly 3,000 miles to interview you here. What's up with that?" Lauer joked.
When asked if she had suffered saddle sores, she laughed and said: "It wasn't too bad. I think it was because I chose a particularly comfy saddle."
According to Daily Mail, Pippa will take on the Bosphorus Cross-Continental Race, a 6.5km historical swim that crosses from Europe to Asia.
Miss Middleton served as maid of honor to the Duchess of Cambridge in an Alexander McQueen gown that gathered a lot of attention towards her figure on her sister's big day.
